For the past 66 years, children of all ages have delighted in one of our community’s most treasured events — America’s Original Pet Parade! This colorful, crowd-pleasing event is sponsored by Pets and Pals Charities Ltd., and is truly one of a kind. We hope that you will join us on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am to witness the pageantry. From children showcasing their pets, to marching bands, floats, and clowns, the Pet Parade provides wholesome fun and entertainment for the entire family.
Pets and Pals Charities, established in 1999, is headquartered in La Grange, Illinois. It is dedicated to promoting and supporting the health and care of animals in Metropolitan Chicago. In addition it promotes awareness of the value of animals in individuals lives and the special bonds that exists between kids and animals. Pets and Pals Charities accomplishes its mission through sponsorship of the acclaimed La Grange Pet Parade, providing educational scholarships for youth, and promoting responsible pet ownership through classes that show people how to care for their pets.

This year’s parade starts with our national anthem sung by Jim Cornelison, the national anthem singer for the Chicago Blackhawks. This opening ceremony will honor our first responders, the men and women in the armed services and Local
Honor Flight Veterans.
